How do I add a new admission type?

Admission Types are created to allow access to be granted to each section of the facility, as well as to create granular reporting on facility attendance/entrance records. Example of Admission Types include Access to the Gym, Access to the Swimming Pool, Access to Group FitnessAdmission Types are assigned to the Membership and Pass Types to dictate the customer’s ability to access the various areas. 

To create a new Admission Type:

  1. 1. Launch DATA MANAGEMENT.

  1. 2. Search and select Admission Types.

  1. 3. Click NEW.

  1. 4. Enter a Name for the admission type, e.g. Casual > Group Fitness, Member > Group Fitness.

  1. 5. Typical Duration – Typical duration for this admission type. Once lapsed, contacts are grouped as departed on the INTERACTIONS screen. Defaults to 60 minutes.

  1. 6. Threshold Duration – Pass back duration. Tagging out before this time prompts to remove the admission entirely. Defaults to one quarter of the typical duration.

  1. 7. Timeout Duration – Contacts are removed from the INTERACTIONS screen after the timeout duration. Defaults to four times the typical duration.




Admission Docket – if this admission type requires an admission docket through gates, select the relevant docket here.

  1. 8. Automatically print admission docket – if checked, each time this admission is used, a docket will be automatically printed.

  1. 9. Required staff role – limits certain staff roles to access/apply this admission type only.

  1. 10. Applicable site record – limits its usage at certain sites only. Blank defaults all sites. This is only relevant for multi-site facilities.

  1. 11. Withdraw from use – this admission type will no longer be visible for use.

  1. 12. Click SAVE.
