What is the process to clone fixed term courses?


Answer

The Course Cloning function allows users to clone a fixed term course, e.g. Term 1 2020, and create another course of similar nature e.g. Term 2 2020.
When cloning a course, there is the ability to customise the new course name and outline the new start and end date.
There is the function to clone the roster, which copies the most recent permanent teachers from one course to the next.
Finally, there is the option to hold places for students enrolled in the current course e.g. Term 1 2020 and hold a place for them in the same class in e.g. Term 2 2020.

To Clone a fixed term course:

1.      Launch COURSES.

2.      Click Management.

3.      Click COURSES.

4.      Click the applicable Fixed Term Course to be cloned.

5.     Click Clone.


6.      Add applicable Name e.g. Term 2 – Learn to Swim.

7.      Add New Start Date.

8.      Add New End Date.

9.      Use the check box to ‘Clone latest permanent teacher.’

10.   Use the check box to ‘Hold places for enrolled students.

Note: This will automatically hold places for existing enrolees in the same class in the following course.  

11.   Use the end date to dictate how long Envibe will hold the places for.

      12.  Click CLONE
