How do I manually send an ad hoc SMS in the triggers module? 


Answer

There may be an occasion in which ad hoc SMS’s may need to be sent to contacts.  These contacts may or may not have commonality between them.  This is a manual procedure, unlike SMS communication from Trigger Management.

To send an SMS to an Ad Hoc group of contacts:

  1. Launch CONTACTS.
  2. Click Bulk SMS.
  3. In Contact Lists select a particular established Contact list or alternatively you can select ad hoc any contact/s in the Contacts field.
  4. Enter the SMS message you would like to relay (limit to 160 characters).
  5. Click SEND.
